This is a full-time position located on-site at our Modesto administrative office. This role will be expected to travel to Corto Olive in Stockton, CA on occasion. During our Corto Harvest season (mid-October - early December), this role will be expected to support the season by working at least 2 days on site on a weekly basis.

As a People Services & Relations Administrator, you will display your excellent problem solving and communication skills daily. Interacting with our team regularly to provide superior customer service, you will support our Non-Union team with their needs. You’ll oversee our Engagement initiatives and ensure many functions across people operations are handled with great care.

This position will be primarily responsible for:

Facilitating Engagement

• Support employee engagement initiatives and activities that promote team connection, collaboration, and participation across Stanislaus Food Products and Corto Olive. This creates opportunities for social interaction, collaboration and active participation. Participating in Corto Engagement efforts and providing support as the committee or Manager determines.

Employee Record Management

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records in both digital and physical formats following the CA and Federal regulations, including updating HRIS with employee information as required (Personnel Action Forms, Medical Notes, Offer Letters, Promotion Letters, Training Records, etc.).
• Coordinating Leave of Absence paperwork following CA and Federal entitlements and processes.

People Services

• Coordinating training programs and seminars for the PO team.
• Coordinating benefits enrollment and answering benefits questions as they arise. This includes processing new hires benefit enrollment, qualifying life events and Open Enrollment updates.
• Coordinating Annual Wellness Event annually to ensure a superior employee experience.
• Coordinating onboarding our new SFP and Corto team members, including all required paperwork needed whether digital or hard copy.
• Assisting with the recruitment process regarding roles as assigned by the People Services and Relations Manager including scheduling interviews, preparing job postings and conducting pre-employment functions.
• Support seasonal recruiting efforts by assisting with sourcing, scheduling, onboarding, and other recruiting activities necessary to meet staffing objectives.
• Support Union Employee Services team and processes, as needed and assigned.
• Staying up to date on relevant employment laws and regulations.

Administrative Support

• Answering employee inquiries and providing People Operations related information.
• Preparing reports and presentations.
• Preparing for meetings to include lunch orders, etc.
• Submit benefits-related invoices and support documentation, ensuring information is accurate and routed appropriately.
• Assisting with other People Operations projects and initiatives as assigned.

Communication and Collaboration

• Serving as a liaison between SFP and Corto team members and the People Operations department.
• Collaborating with other People Operations team members and managers.
• Creating and maintaining collaborative relationships with all management including the Cannery and Distribution Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic awareness of employment practices and willingness to learn applicable California and federal employment laws.
• At least two years of administrative, customer service, office support, or related experience.
• At least two years experience with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) or another HRIS.
• Bachelor's degree completed or in progress and expected to be earned within the next two years; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification may be substituted for the degree requirement, or obtained by 2030.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits, or other administrative support functions.
• Experience with Canva.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; rare stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 75% or more sitting, 25% or less walking, and 25% or less standing. The job is performed under rare temperature variations and in an office environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 30 lbs. is required.
