Vice President of Strategic Growth - Telecom OSP
Draftech International
Title: Vice President of Strategic Growth – Telecom OSP
Location: Miami–Fort Lauderdale Area (Hybrid)
About Draftech
Draftech is a self-performing MBE engineering and construction services firm specializing in telecommunications, fiber optics, and power infrastructure. We design and build OSP networks, FTTH deployments, wireless infrastructure, and power distribution projects for carriers, MSOs, ISPs, and infrastructure partners. As we scale into larger, more complex programs, we are investing in executive leadership to drive strategic growth and long-term partnerships.
Role overview
The Vice President of Strategic Growth is a senior executive responsible for driving revenue growth by winning and expanding high-value carrier and MSO accounts across telecom OSP, FTTH, wireless, and power infrastructure programs. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on business development: you will own the growth strategy, build and deepen executive relationships, and lead complex pursuits that position Draftech as a preferred partner for large-scale network and infrastructure initiatives.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute a strategic growth plan targeting Tier 1 and Tier 2 carriers, MSOs, regional fiber providers, and infrastructure investors across OSP, FTTH, wireless, and power projects.
- Own end-to-end business development for major programs: prospecting, opportunity qualification, solution shaping, proposal leadership, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
- Build, manage, and leverage an executive-level network within telecom and broadband to open new logos and expand existing relationships.
- Partner with engineering, construction, and operations leaders to design compelling solutions, delivery models, and commercial structures that align with client needs and Draftech’s margin targets.
- Lead strategic account planning for key carriers/MSOs, including multi-year revenue targets, whitespace analysis, and cross-sell/upsell strategies.
- Represent Draftech at industry conferences and executive customer meetings, positioning the firm as a credible, innovative partner in telecom and power infrastructure.
- Build and manage a small growth-focused team (BD, capture, key account managers) as results justify expansion.
- Establish and own growth KPIs (new revenue, pipeline coverage, win rates, account penetration, margin) and report regularly to the CEO and executive team.
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years in telecom / broadband / infrastructure with a focus on OSP engineering, construction, or turnkey delivery for carriers/MSOs or major ISPs.
- Proven track record of originating, negotiating, and closing high-value B2B contracts (MSAs, multi-year build programs, regional rollouts, or large project portfolios).
- Established relationships with decision-makers at carriers, MSOs, or regional fiber providers; ability to access VP- and C-level stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of OSP, FTTH, small cell/wireless, and power distribution work scopes, delivery models, and economics.
- Executive-level communication and negotiation skills, with experience presenting to boards, investment partners, or senior leadership.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution bias: comfortable both building growth strategy and personally driving key deals to close.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, construction operations, finance, and legal to structure complex deals.
Compensation & benefits
The expected base salary range for this role is $130,000–$180,000, depending on experience and proven results in telecom/OSP growth. In addition to base, this position includes a performance-based bonus/commission structure tied to new carrier/MSO revenue and margin, with the potential for long‑term incentives or equity participation for top performers.
How to apply
Please submit your resume and a brief summary describing:
- Carrier/MSO or infrastructure accounts you have grown, including deal sizes and program types.
- Examples of major contracts or MSAs you originated and closed, and your specific role in the pursuit.
- Key areas of the telecom, broadband, or power infrastructure market where your experience and relationships would immediately strengthen Draftech’s position.
