Don Johnson's Ladysmith Motors is looking for a high-performing Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team in Ladysmith.

This role is also commonly known as a Service Writer or Service Consultant. No matter the title, the purpose is simple: help guests feel informed, respected, and confident when they bring their vehicle to us for service.

You’ll be the trusted connection between our guests and our technicians. You’ll listen carefully, write clear repair orders, explain vehicle needs, communicate updates, and help deliver a service experience people remember for the right reasons.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will:

• Welcome guests and create a positive first impression.
• Listen to vehicle concerns and document them clearly.
• Review service history and recommend factory-scheduled maintenance.
• Write accurate repair orders for technicians.
• Prepare and communicate estimates, timelines, and repair recommendations.
• Explain technician findings in a clear, helpful, and professional way.
• Keep guests updated throughout the repair process.
• Coordinate with technicians, parts, and service leadership.
• Review completed repair orders for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Help ensure each guest receives a great experience with no regrets.

Requirements:

Previous automotive service experience is preferred, but we are also open to the right person with strong experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, or leadership.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record under company insurance requirements. Automotive knowledge, dealership experience, or manufacturer training is a plus.
