Experienced Cook WantedThe Marlborough Tavern is looking for an experienced cook in our kitchen, following our Executive Chef's recipes and execution of the set menu.Competitive pay offered starting at $20 per hour with opportunity for raise after 6 months of employment.The job schedule available is full time and or part time.Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays. 30-40 hours per week.Wednesday 2 pm - 8 pmThursday 2 pm - 8 pmFriday 2 pm - 10 pmSaturday 11 am - 10 pmSunday 11 am - 8 pmWe do also post our schedule at least two weeks in advance so you are able to plan your schedule with work and outside of work. And we offer a shift meal for candidates who work an 8-hour shift with the team.ResponsibilitiesHelp in the preparation, cooking and plating of all food menu itemsProduce high quality plates both design and taste wise following a recipe.Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standardsParticipate in daily food preparation with the chefBe able to communicate well with the chef and co workers in the kitchen.Comply with regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customersRequirementsProven experience as a Line CookUnderstanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and proceduresCredible record of kitchen cookingFamiliar knife skillsReliable transportation and being on time for scheduled shifts.
