Field Technician

Job Title

Must-have qualifications:

• 35 years of hands-on experience in multi-unit facility maintenance or equipment repair
• Experience repairing restaurant equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building systems
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a self-directed environment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service mindset with a strong sense of urgency
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Excel)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods

Preferred qualifications (plusses):

• Experience working in restaurant or food-service environments
• Preventive maintenance program experience
• Inventory control or parts management experience
• Exposure to HVAC or refrigeration systems
• Trade certifications or technical training (electrical, mechanical, etc.)
• Familiarity with work order systems or CMMS platforms
• Multi-site or route-based maintenance experience

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency repairs on restaurant equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues across multiple locations
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
• Prioritize and manage daily service calls independently
• Maintain accurate service records and update work orders
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and location staff to resolve issues quickly
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and compliance requirements
• Track and manage inventory, tools, and replacement parts
• Travel between locations as needed to support maintenance needs
