REPORTS TO: Director of Business Development

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Admissions Specialist is responsible for direct and on-going communication with potential patients. Admits patients to healthcare programs and facilities by maintaining admitting guidelines; marketing programs; obtaining applicant information; screening applicants; completing admissions process; resolving patient dissatisfactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with treatment centers, and various healthcare organizations across the state/country to promote RRRC's services and secure sources of client referral to be treated within RRRC's continuum of care.
  • Be available to take incoming admissions calls on behalf of Red Rock Recovery Center, promoting our services when applicable and referring out to other providers when appropriate.
  • Majority of time allocated to accepting incoming calls and managing program inquiries.
  • Conduct Verification of Benefits, arrange financial payment plans and ensure payment sources are secured for treatment services.
  • Cooperation with Clinical Outreach Manager to strategize and implement outreach campaigns.
  • Utilize and update CRM and all other systems, on a regular basis.
  • Strong commitment to department and individual measurements, metrics, and KPI's.
  • Assists in providing short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data.
  • Ability to adhere to a budget and be accountable for expenses.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities today but has the ability to grow into a supervisory role.

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this successfully, an individual should have adequate education, experience, and knowledge regarding the nature and treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction. Knowledge of community resources, principles, and techniques of alcoholism, addicts and drug abuse counseling.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Degree in Advertising or Marketing is preferred, but not required
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a treatment center, residential setting preferred
  • Clinical/counseling experience a plus
  • Experience with 12-step recovery a plus
  • Experience in event planning and/or marketing preferred
  • Must be flexible and able to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Knowledge of or experience in mental health or substance use fields
  • Must have valid Colorado driver's license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to handle paperwork; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Open work area; noise level is usually moderate.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This employee must be of the conviction that alcoholism and drug addictions are treatable illnesses and constitute a public

health problem.

This employee must sign an oath of permanent confidentiality covering all client-related information.

As with all other Red Rock Center employees, the employee in this position shall have no history or evidence of alcoholism or other drug misuse for a period of six (6) months immediately prior to the date of employment, and no misuse of alcohol or other drugs while employed with Red Rock Recovery Center.

The staff member shall sign and date this to affirm the validity of the information herein.
