Join our team as a Barista/Customer Service team member at the Lancaster County Farmers Market in Wayne. You will prepare coffee and espresso drinks, serve customers, process transactions, and help keep the market stand well stocked and clean. This role requires strong communication skills, spatial awareness, and availability Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with additional market hours during holiday weeks. Daily operations are overseen by the Café Manager, Market Stand Manager, or Shift Lead. Customer volume is moderate with periodic rushes and may be high throughout the shift. Training is provided; prior experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service.
- Prepare coffee and espresso drinks.
- Fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate the cash register and process payments.
- Handle food and beverages safely.
- Maintain stand cleanliness and organization.
- Restock shelves and supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and complete other tasks requested by management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in beverage service.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Espresso preparation experience.
- Food safety knowledge.
- Cash-handling experience.
- Inventory restocking experience.
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Spatial awareness and teamwork.
