Respiratory Care PractitionerLocation: Monroe Regional HospitalDepartment: Respiratory CareWeekly Hours: 24Status: Part timeShift: Nights (United States of America)Sign On Bonus: Job Requisition Qualifies for Sign on BonusBonus Amount: $10,000Job Summary: $10k sign on bonus with 2 year commitmentWhen a patient has a severe respiratory condition in a ProMedica hospital, a Respiratory Care Practitioner provides the care they need in a general, clinical, emergency, and/or diagnostic care area.You will help create a care plan, evaluate goals, and maintain communication with appropriate members of a patient's health care team.In this role, you will help with clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing, medical students, and residents as needed. You will also help orient new staff and contribute to the growth of others to strengthen the team.The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. It should not be considered exhaustive.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED and maintain credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).Current BLSMust be licensed to render respiratory care services by the respective state(s) of practice – Ohio and/or Michigan. Will stay current in the practice of Respiratory Care by actively participating in continuing education and maintaining certifications and annual competenciesPreferred RequirementsACLS, NRP, and PALS certification is recommended, and may be required at some business units.Membership in the American Association of Respiratory CareProMedica is a mission-driven, not-for-profit health care organization headquartered in Toledo, Ohio.
