Memory Care Activities Coordinator

Activities Coordinator (Memory Care)We are seeking a compassionate and creative Living Well Coordinator to lead our Memory Care programming. In this role, you will create meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of residents living with dementia while fostering engagement, purpose, and well-being.ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and lead daily Memory Care activities and events.Develop a monthly activity calendar that supports physical, cognitive, social, spiritual, and sensory wellness.Facilitate engaging group and one-on-one programs tailored to residents' abilities and interests.Monitor program effectiveness and make improvements as needed.Welcome and orient new residents and families to the Memory Care program.Educate and support family members regarding resident engagement and programming.Train and coach team members on activity leadership and resident participation.Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.Maintain activity records, schedules, and supplies.Promote a positive, resident-centered culture that enhances quality of life.QualificationsExperience in Memory Care, dementia care, senior living, life enrichment, recreation therapy, or a related field preferred.Previous experience planning and leading activities for seniors.Knowledge of dementia-related behaviors and person-centered care approaches.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Basic computer proficiency.Creative, energetic, and passionate about improving the lives of older adults.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.BenefitsCompetitive payHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off401(k) with company matchCareer growth and development opportunitiesSupportive team environmentJoin our team and make a meaningful difference by creating engaging experiences that help residents thrive every day.Company OverviewFounded in 1979, American House Senior Living Communities' vision is to provide high-quality housing for seniors at a price affordable for retirees and their families.
