Influence senior leadership decisions with strategic insights.Job DescriptionMarket Access Leader OverviewThe Market Access Leader will oversee strategic initiatives to optimize market access for key pharmaceutical brands.Lead the development and execution of comprehensive market access strategies for assigned products.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align access strategies with brand objectives and organizational goals.Monitor payer landscapes, policy changes, and competitive dynamics to proactively adjust strategies.Partner with HEOR teams to prioritize evidence generation supporting product value propositions.Develop field-facing materials and tools to enable effective communication of access strategies.Present strategic updates and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.Manage and mentor direct reports, fostering professional growth and strategic capability development.Contribute to the organization's mission by ensuring optimal patient access and affordability programs.Market Access Leader Key Responsibilities & DutiesDevelop and implement end-to-end market access strategies for assigned pharmaceutical brands.Optimize formulary retention, gross-to-net management, and competitive response strategies.Collaborate with HEOR teams to align evidence generation with strategic priorities.Monitor mental health policy and payer landscapes, adjusting strategies proactively.Oversee patient support and affordability programs to enhance adherence and uptake.Ensure sales enablement tools reflect current payer realities for effective field communication.Present concise updates on performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to leadership forums.Manage direct reports, providing actionable feedback and fostering strategic maturity.Build trust and alignment across functions, resolving disagreements constructively.Market Access Leader Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred for senior-level candidates.7–10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech market access or marketing roles.Proven track record in presenting strategies to senior leadership and influencing decisions.Strong knowledge of GTN architecture, payer contracting, and formulary strategies.Experience in mental health/CNS therapeutic areas preferred; specialty access experience considered.Prior management experience, with a focus on team building and scaling capabilities.Fluency in HEOR/RWE principles to direct evidence priorities effectively.Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in ambiguous situations.Comfortable defending strategies under scrutiny from senior stakeholders.
