Lead Custom Cabinet Builder

Position: Lead Custom Cabinet Builder

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Abrams, Wisconsin

Pay: Competitive, based on experience

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Lead Custom Cabinet Builder to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and has experience building high-end, custom cabinetry.

The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in all stages of cabinet construction and can work independently while helping guide and oversee other members of the shop team.

Responsibilities

● Build custom cabinets and millwork from plans, drawings, and specifications

● Read and interpret shop drawings and measurements

● Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and accurately

● Perform cutting, machining, assembly, sanding, and other cabinet-building tasks

● Ensure cabinets are built accurately and meet quality standards

● Inspect completed work for fit, finish, and craftsmanship

● Help organize and prioritize daily shop production

● Coordinate work with other cabinet builders and shop employees

● Train and assist less-experienced team members

● Troubleshoot construction and production issues

● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

● Help ensure projects stay on schedule

● Communicate effectively with management regarding project progress, materials, and potential issues

Qualifications

● Previous professional experience in custom cabinet building or high-end woodworking

● Strong understanding of cabinet construction and woodworking techniques

● Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and measurements

● Experience operating woodworking equipment

● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

● Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

● Good organizational and problem-solving skills

● Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

● Ability to work effectively as part of a team

● Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required
