Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Compensation

• W2 Pay Rate: $24.69/hour
• Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend: $1,246.00
• Weekly Gross Pay (36 Hours): $2,134.84

Position Overview

LewisGale Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department that values teamwork, professionalism, and quality patient care.

Unit Details

• 27-bed Emergency Department
• Approximately 50 RNs and 25 Medics on staff
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 4:1 to 6:1
• EMR: Meditech
• High-volume, fast-paced ER environment

Required Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of Emergency Room RN experience
• Must have completed 2-3 prior travel assignments
• Experience managing patient ratios up to 5:1

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Preferred Certifications

• TNCC
• ENPC
• NRP
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification

Clinical Skills Required

• Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)
• Sepsis interventions
• Stroke protocols and tPA administration
• Central line placement assistance
• Psychiatric patient care
• EMTALA transfers and patient coordination

Scheduling Requirements

• No on-call requirements
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week scheduling period
  • Nights: Friday and/or Saturday
  • Days: Saturday and/or Sunday
