Work Environment\nThis position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting. However, we operate from an outpatient office in the San Jose area, where team members may collaborate as needed. Regular business hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient schedules. Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the unique needs and treatment goals of each client seeking help with substance use disorders. \n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, applying evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's circumstances. \n
- Deliver individual counseling sessions, utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to foster engagement and facilitate healing. \n
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, creating a supportive environment where individuals can share experiences and strategies for recovery. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to each client's care. \n
- Provide crisis intervention support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring timely and effective assistance to clients in distress. \n
- Educate clients and their families on addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources, empowering them with knowledge and tools for success. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards. \n
- Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development to continually enhance skills and knowledge. \n
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the field of substance use disorder treatment, applying innovations to improve client outcomes. \n
Our primary focus is on individuals battling substance use disorders. This includes a diverse clientele with varying backgrounds and challenges. You will work closely with patients during critical phases of their recovery, addressing both their mental health needs and any co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety or depression. The goal is to create a holistic treatment experience that fosters healing and resilience.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California. \n
- In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, including evidence-based treatment approaches and recovery-oriented care. \n
- Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and group therapy within an addiction treatment context. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a non-judgmental and empathetic demeanor. \n
- Proficiency in maintaining professional boundaries while adhering to ethical guidelines and ensuring client confidentiality. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, contributing to efficient documentation and care coordination. \n
- A commitment to teamwork and collaboration, contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team environment. \n
While a minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, we prefer candidates who have worked specifically within substance use disorder treatment settings. Additionally, familiarity with group therapy facilitation, family therapy concepts, and relapse prevention techniques will be viewed favorably. Experience with teletherapy practices will also be advantageous in a remote work context.
Compensation and Benefits\nThe annual salary for this role ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
