The Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead a manufacturing facility in Fremont, California. This is an on-site position offering influence over plant performance, people development and long-term improvements.

As a Plant Operations Manager, you will take ownership of daily operations while creating an environment where safety, quality and teamwork come first. You will have the freedom to improve processes, strengthen performance and build a leadership team capable of delivering consistent results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations across safety, quality, production and customer service.
• Build a positive workplace where employees understand expectations.
• Work closely with maintenance, engineering, quality and logistics teams.
• Improve equipment reliability, productivity, plant efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Reduce downtime, control costs and strengthen production performance.
• Monitor plant metrics and introduce practical corrective actions.
• Manage budgets and support capital improvement projects.
• Coach supervisors and production teams, developing future leaders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The Person

You will need:

• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• At least three years managing supervisors and production personnel.
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, safety, environmental compliance and quality systems.
• Evidence of improving safety, quality, productivity and operational results.
• Experience in continuous or process manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• US citizenship or Green Card status.
