They interpret blueprints, edit programs, perform quality checks with precision tools, and troubleshoot machinery to meet tight tolerances. Lincoln Electric | Careers +4 Key Job Duties & Responsibilities * Setup and Operation: Set up and operate Mazak multi-axis turning centers and mills. * Programming: Program, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using Mazatrol or G-code. * Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for defects using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. * Process Optimization: Optimize, optimize speeds, feeds, and tool selection to improve efficiency. * Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on Mazak machines, including cleaning and ensuring proper lubrication. * Documentation: Maintain job travelers, report production data, and document quality checks. Lincoln Electric | Careers +5 Required Skills and Qualifications * Experience: Proven experience with Mazak CNC machinery and Mazatrol programming. * Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T. * Tooling Knowledge: Experience with tool selection, fixturing, and proper work holding techniques. * Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is preferred. * Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods and handle parts, often lifting up to 35-50 lbs.
