BrightKey is looking to hire a Warehouse Clerk to grow our team in Washington, DC . The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment and a strong commitment to safety and productivity. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of products within the warehouse. This role involves pick/pack operations, palletizing goods for shipment, operating various warehouse equipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Clerk or similar role
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Experience in using and operating warehouse equipment, forklift certification preferred
- Must have or be able to obtain a Security Clerance
- Pay : $24.00 to 29.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Clerk:
- Pick/Pack Operations:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on customer orders.
- Pack products securely to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label packages with shipping information and ensure proper documentation.
- Palletizing Goods:
- Organize and stack products on pallets for shipment.
- Ensure pallets are stable, secure, and meet shipping standards.
- Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.
- Assist in managing stock levels and reordering supplies as needed.
- General Warehouse Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist with receiving and unloading incoming shipments.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Associate or similar role.
- Must have experience with forklift operation
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [specific weight]).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks that require repetitive motions.
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
