About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, charge nurse experience preferred License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, Basic AWHONN required Must-Have: Charge experience Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery. Charge nurse experience is preferred. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. First-timers are accepted for this position. The nurse may be floated to the Mother Baby Unit as needed. The nurse will provide care for neonates and adults. Daily census ranges from 120 to 150 patients. Familiarity with the recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and the use of external fetal monitoring is essential.
