Our client is currently seeking a Mid-Level Java Developer
Location - Southlake, TX Alternate location : Austin, TX
Duration : 12 months with possibility of extension

About the Job


We are seeking a Mid-Level Java Developer to design, build, and optimize robust software applications. In this role, you will work on both client and server-side development, utilizing your expertise in object-oriented design, data structures, and core business logic. You will collaborate within an Agile environment, applying test-driven development practices to deliver highly scalable, multi-threaded applications.


Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in Core Java and J2EE development (client and server-side).
• 3+ years of experience with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns (GoF).
• Demonstrated experience developing APIs, frameworks, and core business logic within applications.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with distributed systems, real-time processing, relational databases, and messaging systems.
• Strong background in concurrency and multi-threading.
• Experience with scaling, Java Garbage Collection (GC), and performance tuning.
• Experience developing downloadable desktop applications.
• Experience with rich UI frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, jQuery, HTML5, Swing, JavaFX) and application development frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, JSF).
• Experience with build, deploy, and test automation tools (e.g., Ant, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, TeamCity, JUnit).
• Familiarity with working across Unix/Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems.
Working knowledge of the finance and/or trading domain is a strong plus.
