BCBA - School-Based Opportunity - San Jose, CA

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) for multiple school-based opportunities in San Jose, CA for the upcoming school year.

This is an excellent opportunity to support high school students while collaborating with educational teams, developing behavior intervention strategies, and providing supervision and support to behavioral staff across campus programs.

Position Details

• Location: San Jose, CA

• Start Date: September 28, 2026

• Duration: 180 School Days

• Schedule: 37.5 Hours Per Week

• Openings: 4

• Pay: $85/hour

• Full-Time School-Year Assignment

Assignment Overview

BCBAs will be assigned to one of four high school campuses:

• Mt. Pleasant High School

• Independence High School

• Yerba Buena High School

• Andrew P. Hill High School

Each BCBA will support a caseload of approximately 40-50 students and provide behavioral consultation, intervention planning, and staff support within their assigned campus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and behavioral evaluations

• Develop and oversee Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

• Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and school staff

• Analyze behavioral data and adjust interventions as needed

• Train and support educational staff on behavior management strategies

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families

• Promote positive student outcomes through evidence-based behavioral practices

Qualifications

• Active BCBA Certification

• Master's Degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or a related field

• School-based experience preferred

• Experience supporting students with behavioral challenges preferred

• Strong collaboration, leadership, and communication skills

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst - ES provides consultation, training, conducts behavioral evaluations and develops/implements behavior intervention plans for individuals with academic and behavioral deficits. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst - ES acts as a clinical teacher who educates, observes, assesses, and supervises educational activities and behavioral service delivery in the school setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

• Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching, psychology or related field

• Preferred experience providing behavior analytic programs and services in schools

• One (1) year minimum pediatric experience preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
