Job Description

Pinnacle Health and Rehab at Sanford is searching for caring and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant Medications (CNA-M) as well as Certified Nursing Assistants.

Essential Job Duties of a CNA-M:

Provide compassionate care and to advocate for our residents while being respectful and empathetic of their needs.

Administer routine oral medications following universal precautions. Administration of PRN medication only after an assessment of the resident has been made by a licensed nurse.
Record medications and any pertinent information related to same.
Keep medication room and cart clean, orderly, and adequately stocked at all times, and secure when not in use.
Take and record vital signs (TPR, B/P, apical pulse when appropriate).
All other duties as assigned/required by licensed nurse and/or supervisor.

Essential Job Duties of CNA:

Assist resident with all daily personal care including bathing, dressing, beauty care, hair care, shaving, nail trimming and dental hygiene offering privacy in a dignified manner maintaining proper universal precautions* at all times.
Transfer residents to and from bed to chair using the proper transfer technique* i.e. 1-2 assist, use of gait belt, stand lift or hoyer lift.
Assist at mealtime: transport residents to and from the dining area, check diet trays with diet orders, serve trays, help feed residents, and remove trays. Serve food and beverages at snack times.
Chart accurate information on forms as instructed, treating all resident information with confidentiality.
Report any observations of residents regarding physical and emotional condition to the licensed nurse immediately.
Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments, being compassionate and empathetic of co-workers needs.
