Respiratory Therapist

Provide comprehensive therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Administer care under the direction of prescribing physicians and under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director. Demonstrate expertise in respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and newborn patients. Possess working knowledge of Pulmonary Function Studies and the administration of related testing. Participate in the orientation and training of new clinical staff in the administration of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment. Engage in community education and development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an approved and accredited school for Respiratory Care.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of newborn/NICU experience and at least 3 years in acute respiratory care medicine, including general floor care, emergent medical and trauma stabilization/treatment, newborn stabilization, cardiopulmonary diagnostics, and pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation.
• Licenses/Certification: Current BLS/ACLS and NRP certifications. Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Licensed to practice respiratory care in the State of Colorado. Member of the American Academy of Respiratory Care (AARC).

Shift Information:

12-hour shifts with rotating weekends. Early shifts start at 6 AM to 6:30 PM. Holiday coverage required.
