Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
This position is located in Mission, TX. The facility consists of 11 beds and is staffed by a dedicated team of 3 Registered Nurses on both day and night shifts.
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Type of Equipment: Trauma equipment, Point of Care (POC) lab, precipitous delivery
Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Fast-Track Emergency Department or Emergency Room.
- Expertise in performing difficult venipunctures, inserting large bore IVs, collecting blood cultures, patient triage, and clinical monitoring.
Preferred Skills:
- More than 2 years of experience in Emergency Department or Fast-Track Emergency Department.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Typical Procedures:
- Point of Care (POC) laboratory tests
- Emergency response procedures
The ideal candidate should be flexible and possess strong teamwork abilities.
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
