While the majority of your work will take place from the comfort of your home, you will also have access to our outpatient office in Tonawanda for occasional in-person meetings and case consultations. Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to accurately identify their clinical needs and develop appropriate treatment strategies. \n
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans that take into account the emotional, psychological, and social factors influencing each patient. \n
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and play therapy, to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. \n
- Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and guardians to actively support their children’s mental wellness. \n
- Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, including medication management when necessary. \n
- Offer crisis intervention support to children and families experiencing immediate mental health emergencies. \n
- Educate families on mental health disorders, treatment options, and access to community resources for continued support. \n
- Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in line with industry standards. \n
- Engage in regular team meetings and case discussions to promote shared learning and development within the group. \n
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health. \n
This role primarily focuses on a diverse patient population of children and adolescents facing mental health challenges. You will work closely with young individuals experiencing a range of issues, from anxiety and depression to attention and behavioral disorders. Your therapeutic efforts will significantly contribute to the overall well-being of these patients and help facilitate positive developmental outcomes.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is mandatory. \n
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a child-centered approach to therapy. \n
- Ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families, fostering trust and open communication. \n
- Proficient in navigating electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintaining accurate documentation. \n
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework. \n

- A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, particularly in a setting focused on child and adolescent mental health. \n
- Experience delivering both individual and family therapy, with a demonstrated understanding of various therapeutic approaches tailored to younger populations. \n
