Job Position: General Machinist

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Shift: 3rd

Description: Qualifications:
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
• Must be able to take and follow both written and verbal directions and communicate those directions to others.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• High degree of analysis, problem solving and creativity.
• Must be able to solve mathematical problems at the high school level. Must also have some basic hand tool skills.
• 1+ years in manufacturing role working as a machine operator.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. on a continuous basis and 45 lbs. occasionally. Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time. Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:
Relationships: Reports directly to the Supervisor and works closely with all other production employees.

Job Role: Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Coaches and helps train other members of the team.

Primary Position Responsibilities:
• Plans & prepares for upcoming jobs
• Complete understanding of all machines including control panel and all buttons & switches
• Troubleshoots all problems with the machine run
• Provide feedback to supervisor and production manager when requested on employee performance, training needs of the shift and quality issues
• Helps communicate & implement company/plant policies & programs
• Provide guidance for the team as needed
• Be aware of and adhere to all safety rules & regulations
