About the Position

Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse skilled in emergency room care. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a similar setting. The nurse will work 12-hour shifts during the day from 11:00 to 23:00. Successful applicants must possess current certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC. Experience with Epic charting is mandatory. The role involves handling various emergency cases, including trauma and acute medical conditions. Two weekend shifts are required per contract duration. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 100 patients, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4. Support will be available from interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Travelers will receive a brief orientation to the unit. A 50-mile local radius applies, and local candidates are not accepted. Candidates should be prepared for participation in float shifts as necessary. This role demands the skills and expertise to manage critical situations effectively.
