Payroll Clerk - Finance

The Monmouth County Finance Department is seeking an entry level Payroll Clerk who is an enthusiastic, motivated, team player to perform general clerical duties including, but not limited to, the processing and review of bi-monthly payroll records for full-time, part-time, and seasonal County employees. Examples of Duties :
- Reviews departmental payroll records for hourly and salaried employees, including hours worked during the specified pay period, overtime submissions, higher-level, and/or other earnings as stipulated in the employee’s labor agreement.
- Updates employee payroll records to reflect changes in requested tax withholdings, pension or loan certifications, direct deposit requests or changes, and other voluntary/non-voluntary deductions.
- Assist departmental timekeepers and/or employees in completing various payroll forms.
- Responds to phone and email inquiries, providing documents or support as needed.
- Maintains confidential records and files.
- Experience with EPersonality payroll software is preferred.
- Prior payroll or timekeeping experience a plus.
- Attention to detail is required.
- Ability to meet payroll calendar deadlines.
