Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field, National certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent), and 1–2+ years recent hospital lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a vital medical technologist role supporting essential laboratory services during overnight hours. This contract position focuses on pediatric and adult testing, blood bank duties, and chemistry analysis utilizing specialized equipment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Thursday
• Nights, 9:00pm – 7:00am

Qualifications & Skills:

• Current certification as a Medical Technologist
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric laboratory work
• Strong blood bank skills necessary
• Proficiency with chemistry instruments, specifically Vitros and Ortho analyzers
• Solid understanding of laboratory best practices and safety standards
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and analyze samples in chemistry and blood bank sections as assigned
• Operate, calibrate, and perform maintenance on the Vitros chemistry analyzer and Ortho diagnostic equipment
• Ensure accurate reporting of lab results for both pediatric and adult specimens
• Adhere strictly to laboratory protocols for specimen handling and documentation
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to provide timely lab results critical for patient care
• Maintain compliance with all quality control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
