Quality Management Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Management Coordinator to support quality assurance, compliance monitoring, and reporting activities within a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for conducting audits, analyzing documentation, preparing quality reports, and supporting risk management and behavioral health quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills with experience working in healthcare quality management systems and EPIC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and summarize monthly audit reports related to clinical and operational quality measures.
  • Review and analyze documentation associated with mock codes, nursing assignments, hand hygiene compliance, close observation monitoring, and patient safety protocols.
  • Audit and monitor documentation related to restraints, handcuffs, shackles, and observation requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare detailed monthly reports for Nursing, Behavioral Health, Risk Management, and Quality Management departments.
  • Identify documentation gaps, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with healthcare quality standards and organizational policies.
  • Utilize EPIC and Microsoft Office Suite to collect, analyze, and present quality management data.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring and support ongoing quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous performance improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, healthcare auditing, or related healthcare operations required.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality assurance processes, risk management, and health home policies required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to analyze documentation and prepare comprehensive reports required.
  • Experience working in behavioral health or hospital quality management settings preferred.
  • English proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking).

Important Details:

  • 9-week contract position (extensions available)
  • Shift is 7.50-hour day shift (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), 37.50 hrs/week
  • Location is New York, NY 10016
  • Pay Range for Locals: $32 - $37 per hour
