The Admiral Hotel is looking for a reliable, hardworking Steward to join our Food & Beverage team.

You'll play an essential role behind the scenes — keeping our kitchens clean, organized, and running smoothly while supporting our culinary team. If you take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a team, and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this could be the perfect fit.

What You'll Do

• Keep kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary
• Set up and operate dish machines and sinks
• Wash, sanitize, sort, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Keep floors clean and dry throughout the shift
• Maintain proper chemical levels and follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries
• Maintain trash and recycling areas and remove waste as needed
• Keep dry storage areas organized
• Assist with basic food prep and other kitchen tasks as directed
• Support the culinary team during busy service periods
• Follow daily cleaning and sanitation checklists
• Work safely and follow all company and kitchen procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by culinary leadership

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma preferred
• Previous steward, dishwasher, or kitchen experience preferred
• Positive, dependable, and self-motivated
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable working around commercial kitchen equipment
• Able to work independently while being a strong team player
• Customer service mindset and professional communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and reaching
• Performing repetitive tasks
• Working around heat, humidity, water, and kitchen equipment
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling 30+ pounds
• Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen
• Working days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and/or holidays
• Adapting to changing business needs and priorities
