We'd love for you to join our team!As a HHA you will be responsible for, but not limited to:Providing home health aide services to the consumer in accordance with the care planPersonal Care: bathing, eating, dressing, hygiene, transferring/positioning, pulse and respiration, infection control, assistance with self-administration of medicationsUtilizing Universal Precautions while providing careTransporting consumer's to physicians appointments, shopping and/or running errandsHousehold Care: Assistance with cleaning, laundry, meal preparationCompanionship: Engaging in conversations, appointment/medication reminders, and/or interactive hobbies with the consumerAssisting with skilled therapy servicesProviding routine care of prosthetic and/or orthotic devicesEstablishing and maintaining constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with consumersEnsuring the quality and safe delivery of caregiver services that align with OSH, federal, and state policies and procedures as well as the Occupational Safety Health Administration and CDC recommendations.HHA Qualifications and Requirements:Must have a current D.C. Home Health Aide LicenseCPR CertificationEvidence of Tuberculosis screening that meets CDC guidelines(TB test must be less than 1 year old for 1-Step PPD, 2-Step PPD, QuantiFERON Blood test or less than 5 years old for Chest X-Ray)Evidence of D.C. Health Certificate/Physical Examination(D.C. Health Certificate or Physical Exam must be less than 6 months old)Must have reliable form of transportationMust pass OSH's HHA competency exam with a score of 80% or greaterProvide 2-3 reliable referencesHoyer Lift experience is preferred, but not requiredHHA Benefits:$20.58/hr starting pay$100 Referral bonus with eligibility requirementsWeekly payHoliday compensationMedical and Dental InsurancePaid Orientation & TrainingFlexible Weekly SchedulingEmployee Assistance ProgramPPE provided
