Job Title: Quality Lab Technician Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our laboratory operations, assisting in sample processing, and ensuring compliance with standard procedures.

• Assist in sample processing in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Issue and apply release stickers on approved raw materials and bulk products.
• Calibrate lab equipment and maintain test equipment.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper levels of department supplies.
• Order, unpack, log, and store supplies.
• Assist in laboratory paperwork, documenting information accurately and completely in a timely manner.
• Log, label, and process specimens and paperwork for testing.
• Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Ensure the laboratory area is neat, clean, and organized.
• Maintain an awareness of cGMP, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), good housekeeping, and safety in the laboratory.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience with sample processing.
• Knowledge of GMP, sample processing, pH meter, viscometer.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Understanding of Chemistry and Biology.
• Familiarity with good laboratory practices and SOP.

• BA or BS Degree in Biological Science or Chemistry or a combination of education and related experience.
• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• Experience in a laboratory or work in the cosmetology industry is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of cGMP compliance.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time well.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to understand verbal and written directions.

The position involves working in a lab and production environment. Flexibility to work first and second shifts, as well as Saturdays, is desired. The work setting includes state-of-the-art equipment in a modern manufacturing facility. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
