Criminal Justice Case Manager S/O Specific

Intervention, Inc. is a Colorado non‑profit that provides services within the criminal justice system across the state, including sobriety monitoring, electronic monitoring, probation supervision, and community corrections. Title Criminal Justice Case Manager S/O Specific Pay $25.76/hr Location Lakewood, CO Hours Monday‑Friday, full time Overview Provides case management for a caseload primarily of highly specialized and complex residential clients to help them successfully complete their program by applying appropriate behavioral change techniques while providing supervision and monitoring compliance according to Intervention policies and procedures. Serves as a resource for other staff in various ways. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support, promote and adhere to Intervention Inc.’s mission, values, and Code of Conduct. Reflect Commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect. Maintain confidentiality of client and company information. Carry out all duties in accordance with company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations. Serve as subject matter expert and resource to other staff. Audit other staff’s files, including non‑traditional areas of audits. Assist in program administration areas such as program audits and reviews. Train staff as needed on a variety of topic areas. Provide guidance to other staff on routine assignments. Be accessible to clients during work hours for supervision, guidance, and resources outside scheduled meetings. Explain the client’s program expectations and case plan verbally to ensure understanding. Maintain complete, accurate and timely case files, both paper and electronic. Assess clients for individual criminal risks, criminogenic needs and responsiveness to intervention strategies. Develop highly individualized supervision case plans based on established protocols and client needs. Schedule and meet individually with each client at least weekly to evaluate progress in accomplishing case plan and sentencing requirements. Administer rewards and sanctions according to established policies and procedures. Refer clients to treatment providers, inform them of responsibilities, monitor participation and progress, and verify attendance at least monthly. Support clients in searching, obtaining, and maintaining employment. Complete all written reports concerning clients accurately and timely; obtain supervisor approval before sending to courts or referral agencies. Assist clients in developing and adhering to personal budget plans, monitor balances, and provide financial statements. Review client financial obligations at least monthly to ensure restitution and child‑support payments comply with court requirements. Facilitate didactic treatment groups weekly and other trainings as required. Participate actively in client staffing and attend community supervision team meetings. Perform assessments/reassessments as required. Report all program violations according to established policies. Refer clients to community resources as appropriate. Work with courts, probation, and other agencies regarding client staffing and compliance. Monitor drug and alcohol tests as required. Provide own transportation to travel to other sites or locations as needed. Testify in court regarding clients. Attend required trainings and meetings; apply skills and knowledge. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Minimum Qualifications Education and/or Experience Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, psychology, social work, counseling, social science or a closely related field. Work experience in counseling, social work, law enforcement, corrections or community supervision that provides the same knowledge and skills on a year‑for‑year basis can substitute for the bachelor’s degree. At least one additional year of related experience and/or training in criminal justice, community corrections, or general corrections field work with an offender population, including at least one year of case‑management experience. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency or required training in case management for the specialized/complex population. Demonstrated experience in applying Motivational Interviewing skills and techniques. Effective verbal and written communication skills with diverse constituents. Ability to facilitate group sessions. Ability to complete assessments and develop case plans. Proficiency in data entry, generating reports and using software programs and databases. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Knowledge of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques for the client population. Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently with staff, stakeholders, and clients. Must pass a background check and be granted access to state criminal databases.
