This position supports the curriculum by providing and maintaining network computer resources in support of both instructional and administrative uses of computer related technology. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Installs, connects, configures, and maintains network systems equipment including (but not limited to) mobile, virtual and physical devices, workstations, and servers. Installs, maintains, and administers application software of mobile, virtual, and physical management systems. Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network‑managed devices and their associated operating systems and software programs. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration. Administers and maintains end‑user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Performs server and security audits as well as system backups and recovery. Repairs or coordinates repair of computers, printers, and other network‑attached devices. Reviews current developments, literature, and technical sources of information related to job responsibility. Participates in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to position assignment. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Two years technical college, or equivalent, in Information Technology with emphasis in technical support and computer maintenance, or equivalent work experience. Five years experience with local and wide area network support is preferred. Certificate or License Required: Microsoft A‑plus certification preferred. Language Skills: Must have ability to read and comprehend job specific technical information, simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and position specific manuals. Must have ability to write correspondence and reports. Must have ability to effectively articulate and present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations. Mathematical Skills: Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Must have ability to conduct position related data analysis. Must have ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Must be able to facilitate the problem solving processes. Must have ability to synthesize workable options from given facts, and assist in the development of workable solutions. Technical Ability: Must have considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and other job specified technologies. Customer Service Skills: Must be able to interact effectively with colleagues, administrators, teachers, staff members, students using tactful yet effective skills. Must collaborate well with others and display a cooperative attitude. Must be service oriented and actively seek ways to assist others. Professional Requirements Must serve as a role model to students. Appropriate dress and grooming consistent with established standards required.
