This position supports the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring team members, assisting with scheduling, monitoring service standards, and helping resolve guest concerns to ensure a positive experience. The role also includes supporting revenue management, basic financial reporting, inventory control, and implementation of brand standards and safety policies. The Assistant General Manager collaborates with the leadership team to enhance operational efficiency, maintain a well-kept property, and promote a culture of teamwork and customer-focused service. Qualifications Experience in hotel or hospitality operations, including front desk supervision, housekeeping coordination, and guest service management. Strong leadership abilities, with skills in team coaching, performance feedback, conflict resolution, and fostering an inclusive work environment. Competence in basic financial management, such as budgeting support, cost control, and reviewing daily reports to assist with revenue and expense tracking. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests, team members, and external partners in a professional manner. Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, respond to issues quickly, and maintain attention to detail. Comfort with property management systems, office software, and standard hotel technology; willingness to learn new systems as needed. Knowledge of safety, security, and cleanliness standards, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and well-presented hotel environment. Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in hospitality or a related customer-facing industry preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality management, business, or a related field is beneficial.
