HVAC Service Technician

This position focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and servicing residential heating and cooling systems while helping homeowners make informed decisions about repairs, upgrades, and maintenance options. Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour, base pay depending on experience Total Compensation Potential: Approximately $75,000 - $90,000 annually with performance incentives and commissions As a Residential HVAC Service Technician, you will respond to in-home service calls, diagnose system issues, and complete repairs on heating and cooling equipment. Technicians in this role troubleshoot system malfunctions, recommend solutions, and explain repair or replacement options clearly so customers can make confident decisions about their home comfort systems. This role also includes documenting service work accurately, maintaining an organized service vehicle, and working closely with dispatch and customer service to ensure a positive customer experience. Experienced technicians may also assist with mentoring apprentices and helping newer technicians strengthen their technical and customer service skills. Technicians should be comfortable diagnosing equipment issues, performing system repairs, and explaining solutions to homeowners. Knowledge of HVAC codes and best practices is important, along with the ability to read basic diagrams or blueprints related to system layouts. Candidates should be interested in continuing education and working toward industry certifications such as NATE. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
