Job Title: Fabrication Metal Prep

Location: Faribault, MN - 55021

Duration: Contract - 3 months

Pay Range: $20/hr

Schedule: Weekend Shift, Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.

 

Job Description

We are seeking a Fabrication Metal Prep to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing operations, metal preparation, and equipment setup and a proven ability to meet quality specifications and production targets in a safe, high-volume environment.

 

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate standard manufacturing equipment.

Read, comprehend, and execute Standard Operating Procedures to operate equipment and manufacture product.

Complete and maintain all required production paperwork, including daily reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, and system entries.

Maintain and operate hand tools and power tools.

Deburr, buff, and polish materials to specification.

Perform quality control checks and inspections to verify conformance to specifications.

Review job orders and interact with production systems as required.

Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines, and visually inspect produced parts.

Accuracy and timeliness in completing assignments.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.

Ability to read, write, and comprehend directives in English.

 

Preferred Skills:

High school diploma or GED.

Basic computer skills with accurate data entry for receiving and issuing products.

Ability to perform simple mathematics for process sheets and production tracking.

Basic understanding of blueprints, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly.

Comfort with frequent lifting, standing, bending, and reaching.

Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.

Commitment to PPE requirements, including eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection.
