Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - New York, NY
This position involves providing medical surgical nursing care in an onsite setting in New York, NY. The role requires engaging in a contract employment type with a 3x12 schedule, including weekends. Expertise in electronic health record systems is highly preferred.
Requirements
- Provide safe and competent care based on nursing theory and research.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team for care planning.
- Educate patients and caregivers on care plans and health promotion.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model.
- Use evidence-based practices to enhance patient care experience.
Qualifications
- Valid NYS RN License.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Unit experience.
- Minimum 2 years RN experience.
- 1 year travel experience for Travel positions, not required for Per Diem positions.
- Experience with electronic health records highly preferred.
