Heavy Equipment Driver

The Heavy Equipment Driver is responsible for safe and timely transportation of agricultural and heavy equipment between dealership locations, customer sites, and manufacturer facilities. This role plays a critical part in supporting sales, service, and customer satisfaction by ensuring equipment is delivered professionally and in excellent condition.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment (tractors, combines, sprayers, implements, etc.).
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer.
• Ensure all equipment is properly secured in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Deliver equipment to customer locations in a professional and courteous manner.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with Sales, Service, and Parts departments.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures as required.
• Report any equipment damage or mechanical concerns immediately.
• Assist with yard organization and equipment movement between locations as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned truck and trailer.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Acceptable driving record with no major violations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience hauling heavy equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of load securement regulations and DOT compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb on/off equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Professional communication skills when interacting with customers.
• Ability to travel between dealership locations and customer sites.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons.
