Job Details Discipline: Physical Therapy Start date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week, 8‑hour days Shift: days Employment type: Travel Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in Wisconsin Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy Current physical therapy experience; new grads welcome Other certifications or licenses as required Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, examinations, and history to identify functional limitations. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. Operate physical therapy equipment safely and maintain device calibration. Assess patient progress and adjust plans; document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other health professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and self‑management strategies. Maintain a safe treatment environment, adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. PC literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical ability to stand, move, lift (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Effective communication with a variety of personnel. Ability to grasp, manipulate, and assist with equipment. Capacity to cope with public contact and meet deadlines under pressure. Visual acuity and effective communication skills.
