Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift

Location: Charleston, SC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with every other weekend required.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide exceptional care to patients during the night shift. The RRT will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilators, and provide care in various clinical settings as needed, potentially floating between different campuses.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy interventions and treatments for adult and geriatric patients.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and perform intubations, extubations, and tracheostomy care.
• Monitor patients using various equipment, troubleshoot high-pressure alarms, and wean patients from mechanical ventilation.
• Perform arterial blood gas interpretations and manage aerosol treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Current RRT license for South Carolina is required at the time of start.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP is required.
• Epic charting system experience is preferred.
• Radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency.
