As a Rolling Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Pipe Mill by maintaining, adjusting, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role is essential to minimizing downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and keeping our mill operating at its best.Your Day-to-Day ImpactYou'll be a key contributor within our Rolling Mill Department, responsible for:Performing autonomous maintenance tasks such as greasing, oiling, and checking fluid levelsAdjusting, setting up, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipmentMonitoring rolling mill operations and supporting floor production activitiesTroubleshooting minor mechanical and electrical issuesOperating overhead cranes, jib cranes, and motorized vehicles safelyInspecting pipe and immediately reporting quality concerns or defectsRemoving scrap and maintaining a clean, safe work environmentMaking routine rounds to identify potential hazards, breakdowns, or equipment issuesCompleting required documentation, work orders, and maintenance recordsSupporting preventive maintenance and minimizing mechanical delaysParticipating in continuous improvement activities (CIT, MADE, RCA, CAPEX)Following all safety, environmental, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) proceduresActively supporting 5S standards in the shop and millFlexibility to work any assigned shiftWhat You BringWe're looking for reliable, safety-focused candidates who bring strong mechanical aptitude and a team-first mindset:High School Diploma or GED (required)Strong general mechanical skills; ability to use tools and torch equipment effectivelyAbility to learn and operate all floor stations within the assigned areaWillingness and ability to cross-train across rolling mill and floor operationsKnowledge of safe rigging practices and industrial equipmentAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manualsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to lift and carry heavy tools and parts and work in a physically demanding environmentAbility to fabricate and weld steel structures (preferred)General knowledge of industrial pumps and compressed air systemsPreferred: Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environmentPreferred: Five (5) or more years in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment rolesWhat You'll GainGet paid for what you know — and earn more as you continue to learnOpportunities to work on large-scale, industrial equipmentA culture that values safety, accountability, and continuous improvementStrong job stability in an essential industryOvertime opportunitiesClear paths for growth and skill developmentAnd Benefits That IncludeMedical, Dental, and Vision CoverageCompany-Paid Life InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability401(k) with 3% company match and no vesting periodPaid Parental Leave for birthing and non-birthing parents (including adoption)Paid Holidays (10 days plus 1 floating holiday)Paid Vacation TimeDiscretionary Performance-Based Bonus ProgramTuition ReimbursementSafety isn't negotiable, it's who we are.
