Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with skilled, compassionate care, following physician orders and referrals
• Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans that help patients regain independence
• Document services accurately and timely to ensure seamless, high-quality care
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in line with practice acts and facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families to create the best possible outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, keeping patients at the heart of everything

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD)
• Active California Occupational Therapy license (or ability to obtain one)
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
• A passion for helping others and a willingness to adapt to new environments

Education

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and assessment
• Treatment planning and discharge planning
• Clinical documentation and record-keeping
• Supervision of COTAs
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
• Regulatory compliance and safety standards
