Position Summary Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening to associates touring stores, providing feedback, communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, leveraging technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction; introduces and leads company change efforts; provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Responsibilities Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model; manages and supports customer service initiatives such as community outreach programs; ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved; develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience. Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL statements; manages and assists in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses in the designated business area to confirm they are indexed to sales; monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training and mentoring associates; assigns duties, sets clear expectations, provides associate recognition, and promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace; recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential. Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifies and communicates goals and objectives; builds accountability for and measures progress in achieving results; identifies and addresses improvement opportunities; demonstrates adaptability and promotes continuous learning. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years’ of college education, OR 1 year’s retail experience with 1 year’s supervisory experience, OR 2 years’ general work experience with 1 year’s supervisory experience. Associates required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings). For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training. For facilities that sell only ammunition with state specific requirements, current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. General work experience supervising five or more direct reports, including responsibilities for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing. Additional compensation may include regional pay zone (RPZ) based on location and a complex structure based on external factors that create challenges. This position has an additional differential to meet legislative requirements, where applicable.
