Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity to support students’ growth as a Physical Therapist serving several schools north of Destin, Florida. In this contract position, you’ll work on-site across multiple PK-12 campuses near Niceville, meeting the needs of an engaging caseload in a supportive educational setting. If you enjoy variety and making a difference across age groups—primarily with elementary-aged children—this position may be a perfect match for your skills and passion.

This assignment begins August 11, 2026, and runs through June 1, 2027, offering consistent weekday hours. You will provide services to around 40 students as an itinerant therapist, working closely with school teams to deliver and document high-quality physical therapy interventions.

Ideal qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
• Current and active Florida PT license (FL DOH)
• Experience in a school-based, pediatric, or educational environment is preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with multidisciplinary staff, students, and families
• Must complete state-mandated fingerprinting and credentialing before beginning (previous prints may expedite onboarding if available through AHCA Clearinghouse)

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing students’ motor skills and physical therapy needs
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Documenting progress and participation in IEP meetings
• Traveling between assigned school sites (itinerant, with mileage typically reimbursed)
• Educating and supporting staff, families, and students in implementing strategies

This part-time schedule (22.5 hours/week; 7.5 hours/day, 3 days/week) offers the balance to make an impact while maintaining flexibility.
