Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Two 10-hour shifts per week with a 6AM or 7AM start

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub into a variety of surgical cases including laparoscopic, cysto, podiatry, ENT, OB/GYN, urology, plastics, pediatric dental, GI, orthopedic, neuro spine, and robotics procedures across main OR, endoscopy, and pain clinic suites
• Support an active OR environment averaging 15–20 cases per day in the main OR and approximately 15 cases per day in the pain clinic (Monday–Thursday)
• Participate in a rotated on-call schedule covering weeknights 1–2 times per week, rotating between Big Call, Baby Call, or Float assignments; when V-back is scheduled, on-call staff are expected to remain on site through delivery
• Respond to C-section call within 20 minutes and all other call cases within 30 minutes
• Float to endoscopy or pain clinic suites as needed
• Adhere to facility dress code including facility-provided scrubs, cloth hats laundered on site, and OR-dedicated footwear

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CST
• Ability to meet on-call response time requirements (20 minutes for C-section, 30 minutes for other cases)
• Must not reside in North Platte, NE to be eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
• Familiarity with neuro spine or orthopedic surgical cases
• Prior experience in a multi-suite OR environment with high daily case volume
