Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on the patient's needs and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegating and directing discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring effective functional treatment programs for returning patients to community activities, and serving as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self. Commitment to safety, compliance, and professional standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on discharge progression.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient needs.
• Document medical records in a clear, concise, and timely manner, adhering to guidelines.
• Participate in student programs, ensuring a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursue professional development and maintain required licensures.
• Engage in advocacy efforts in the community and professional organizations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Valid, current State license as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
