Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

The RN CVPCU position involves providing specialized cardiovascular and step-down care to adult patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing services, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans specific to cardiovascular needs.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding promptly to abnormalities.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately in the Meditech system and communicate updates to the medical team.
  
  
• 
  Provide patient education on post-procedure care, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control policies, and unit guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active TX RN license; temporary licenses not accepted.
  
  
• 
  Bring a minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience, preferably in cardiovascular units.
  
  
• 
  Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech documentation system.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
