Job Title: Bus Aide / Educational Technician (1:1 Student Support)

Pay Rate: $19-$25 (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-time

Days: Monday–Friday

Start Time: Morning and afternoon bus routes + school-day hours (TBD)

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: June 2026 (with option to renew for summer program and 2026–2027 school year)

Position Overview:

ProCare Therapy is seeking a reliable and compassionate Bus Aide / Educational Technician to provide 1:1 student support in a school-based setting in the Farmington, ME area. This role includes riding the bus with students during morning and afternoon transportation routes, as well as supporting assigned students throughout the school day in the classroom.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with students, ensuring their safety, and supporting their academic and behavioral success in both transit and school environments.

Responsibilities:

• Ride the bus with students during morning and afternoon routes
• Ensure student safety and provide supervision during transportation
• Support assigned students on a 1:1 basis during the school day
• Assist classroom staff with behavioral and instructional support
• Help students with transitions between bus, classroom, and school activities
• Reinforce positive behavior strategies and school expectations
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment at all times
• Follow district policies and transportation safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Active Educational Technician Certification (required)
• Experience working with children or students with special needs preferred
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and supportive in a variety of settings
• Dependable and able to commit to consistent transportation and school-day schedule
