Valley Isle Enterprises is one of Maui's most active licensed general contractors and real estate development companies, with 11 active projects spanning luxury multifamily development, commercial construction, and renovation work across Hawaii and British Columbia. The CEO is a 45-year Red Seal construction veteran at the helm of one of the most ambitious development stories unfolding on Maui right now.
You will be his right hand across both his professional world and his personal world. Think of yourself as the CEO of two companies simultaneously - Valley Isle Enterprises operations on one side, and the Salisbury household on the other. Both run through you.
This starts part-time and grows fast for the right person. The ceiling on this role is genuinely high. You will have a front row seat to large-scale real estate development, investor conversations, construction deals, and a lifestyle that most people only read about. If you are sharp, organized, and hungry to grow, this role will change your trajectory.
What This Role Actually Is
Most EA roles are about answering emails and booking flights. This one is different. You are the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks across a fast-moving portfolio of projects and a busy household. When the CEO is in a lender meeting, you are chasing the permit office. When he is on a job site in British Columbia, you are coordinating the garage sale on Maui, making sure the cars are serviced, and showing one of the investment properties to a prospective tenant. You are not waiting to be told what to do - you are two steps ahead, every day.
Professional Responsibilities
Own the CEO's calendar completely. Nothing gets scheduled without going through you. You protect his deep work time, prep a one-page brief before every important meeting, and make sure he walks in prepared every single time. Process the inbox twice daily, handle routine correspondence on his behalf, and only escalate what genuinely needs his judgment. Track open items across all active construction and development projects including permits, vendor quotes, contractor schedules, and lender documents, and chase them without being asked. Coordinate with lawyers, lenders, permit offices, suppliers, and subcontractors - you track who owes what and when. Post job ads, screen initial applicants using criteria the CEO defines once, and bring only qualified candidates forward. Help build and document operating systems and SOPs so every recurring process is repeatable without the CEO explaining it twice. Submit a clear end-of-day summary of hours worked and tasks completed - pay is based on documented work performed, not hours at a desk.
House Manager Responsibilities
You are the CEO of the Salisbury household. When the principals are traveling or on the boat in British Columbia for the summer, the household runs because of you. Coordinate vehicle maintenance, registrations, and any repairs across the fleet. Manage household supplies, scheduling, and any vendor coordination for the home. Arrange garage sales, coordinate yard work, and handle any property logistics that would otherwise cost the CEO two hours of mental energy. Show investment properties to prospective renters when the principals are out of town - you represent Valley Isle professionally and make a strong first impression. Handle personal errands, appointments, mail, and anything that falls into the category of Personal Inc - the
household has its own budget, its own processes, and its own CEO. That CEO is you.
What We Need
Real construction experience is non-negotiable. You know what a permit application looks like, you understand construction timelines, and you can have an intelligent conversation with a GC or an architect without getting lost. You are organized in a way that most people in construction are not. You finish tasks without being reminded, flag problems before they become emergencies, ask smart questions instead of guessing, and adapt fast when priorities shift without making it a drama. You are calm when things are moving fast in ten directions at once. Based on Maui or fully committed to being here. Valid ID and reliable transportation required.
Bonus Structure
$200 monthly bonus when task completion rate hits 85% or higher within any 30-day period. $100 to $150 per major project milestone delivered on time, including permit packages, lender submissions, and vendor quotes completed within agreed timelines. Base rate review to $35 to $40 per hour at 12 months for consistent performers. You will have access to a VA if and when needed
Real Estate Commission Opportunity
Licensed real estate agents are strongly encouraged to apply. Valley Isle Enterprises transacts continuously across a growing portfolio of properties on Maui and in British Columbia - acquisitions, sales, rentals, and development transactions. Any real estate commission generated from a transaction that Valley Isle is engaged in, where a licensed agent in this role is the eligible representative, flows directly to you. If you are a licensed agent who wants to work inside a real development company and earn real commissions on real deals, this is the role.
A genuine interest in real estate investment and capital raising is a strong asset. The right person will have the opportunity to grow into investor relations responsibilities over time, with a path to taking on real responsibility as the company scales.
