We are looking for a Dental Sleep Medicine Specialist to join our growing team and help us expand our dental sleep medicine program. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care, enjoys building relationships, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients suffering from sleep-disordered breathing and obstructive sleep apnea.

What You’ll Do:

As our Dental Sleep Medicine Specialist, you will help guide patients through their entire sleep medicine journey—from their initial visit through appliance delivery and long-term follow-up.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcome patients and create a warm, exceptional patient experience.
• Review medical and dental history, intake forms, and necessary documentation.
• Obtain and document subjective and objective clinical information.
• Educate patients about sleep-disordered breathing, oral appliance therapy, treatment benefits, and potential risks.
• Take necessary diagnostic records, including X-rays, digital scans/impressions, bite registrations, and photographs.
• Coordinate with dental laboratories for oral appliance fabrication, shipping, and tracking.
• Deliver oral sleep appliances and provide thorough patient education and instructions.
• Make necessary appliance adjustments to ensure proper fit, comfort, and function.
• Coordinate short-term and long-term follow-up care.
• Communicate with patients by phone and other correspondence as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating sleep medicine appointments.
• Work closely with medical providers and referring physicians to develop strong professional relationships.
• Participate in outreach and marketing efforts to grow our dental sleep medicine program, including social media and in-person physician visits.
• Collaborate with our medical billing team to help ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for sleep medicine services.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.

Previous dental sleep medicine experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person who has the right attitude, personality, and passion for patient care.

Training & Professional Development:

We believe in investing in our team. The successful candidate will receive training in dental sleep medicine, including:

• AADSM Dental Sleep Medicine Team Training.
• Dr. Steve Greenman’s sleep medicine training.
• Hands-on training and mentorship with Dr. Juliana Hall.
• Ongoing continuing education in dental sleep medicine.

A minimum of 5 hours of dental sleep medicine continuing education annually will be expected.

Requirements

• Current CPR certification.
• Dental experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and accurate clinical records.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to complete required dental sleep medicine training.

Location: Downtown Dental Group – Manhattan, Kansas
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 1–2 days per week
Reports to: Dr. Juliana Hall and Office Manager
